Drugs & Medicationsfor a Lactating Bitch
Here is a list of products that are safe or not safe for lactating bitches. Avoid using most medications in pregnant and lactating (nursing) dogs. Unless it is needed to save the life of the bitch, any drug may potentally harm fetuses. Always consult with your veterinarian before administering any drug or supplement to a pregnant or nursing dog.
This list is partial and should not replace good veterinary advice. Please note that many epileptic drugs are not safe - which begs the question as to why you would be breeding this dog anyway?
